sadly, they've fixed the typo now, but yes, the telegraph actually displayed this headline for several hours today.

How large is this Large Hardon Collider? Will this create a unescapable black hole? What will we discover? Will the Higgs Bosom particle be finally found? Oh I'm so excited, I can't wait no longer!

You know Pete Coles. He taught me cosmology at Queen Mary (MSc) back 1995/1996. Anyhow he was quite amused when he got back proofs of his Cosmology text-book (forget the exact name - got one kicking about the house - and rather than "hadron era" it had the typo "hardon era".

True story.
